FTX Fall 2012
This past weekend, our cadets headed out to Camp Ripley, MN for a four day FTX (20SEPT12-23SEPT12). Starting right off the bus they conducted Day and Night LandNav. The next day they conducted STX lanes, where each MSIII had the opportunity to lead a squad in either an attack, ambush, RECON or Movement to Contact mission. Saturday, cadets completed BRM (Basic Rifle Marksmanship) by zeroing their rifles and qualifying on a pop-up target range by hitting at least 23 out of 40 targets. Following BRM, each MSIII had the chance to lead a team sized squad in a FLRC (Field Leader's Reaction Course) lane. Once all training was complete, the cadets were treated to a pizza party before heading home early Sunday morning. It was a full weekend of training and we are looking forward to our next training event.
